I can speak on two:

PG: All laser-timed; fields vary, some turf, some not. No, you can not get a running start! They make you start very close to the laser; don't swing your arms/hands across before you take off! They measure 10 yard split and 60, both via laser.

Showball: Stopwatch, just 60, metrics were not shared so hard to know exactly. Timer, at the end of the 60, started clock based on movement so I suppose you could get a head start! Basing this on observation. Caveat: son only attended one event and everything was done as quickly as possible due to weather forecast. So perhaps they did less than they normally do.

Fall Classic: 60 only, hand timed, on the warning track, like running in sand, kids heard their times, but not sure how the times were shared with coaches.

Headfirst: 60 only, hand timed, turf or grass depending on field.  Start in any stance you wanted but no "running" start. Times reported to coaches on same excel chart that included grades and hitting/pitching velos.
