Coaches Womack and Gines still run BIV, and at least last summer, it was still a very very good camp, with excellent instruction, and a boatload of college coaches around during the week and at the last day showcase. The players work pretty hard during the week; one college coach told me they expect, for example, velocities to be down some at the Saturday showcase as the workload is a known factor. Both of my sons have been to BIV and got a lot out of it, instructionally and in terms of exposure. Word to the wise for any player-rest and sleep every chance you get!

Can't comment on any PG other than Sunshine East-well run in normal PG style, good independent evaluation.

I suspect PG is the ticket if you're looking for major national exposure, but for a targeted market (mid-Atlantic), BIV was wonderful. Hope this helps.
I agree with Hokie, If you want more National exposure go for PG, for the Mid-Atlantic go to BIV or Blue Grey for that matter.

All were good for my '05.

BIV is my favorite though, you drop Jr. off on Saturday, he gets to spend 5 days (room & board) at the beautiful Hampden-Sydney campus with other Juniors & Sophomores and gets coaching from some of the top coaches in the Country and then showcases on the last day. You just can't beat that deal. Very well run and every waking minute is scheduled for something relating to baseball. Well worth the cost.

Caution, you may want to keep the windows rolled down on the return trip home with Jr., After a week in the humid southern VA climate playing baseball, the clothes were real stinky. laugh

BIV is a great, wonderful, outstanding showcase/instructional camp. I recieved my letter yesterday confirming my spot in the first session.

I went last year as a rising jr. and i cant wait to go this year as a rising sr.

Not only was BIV very instructional and well organized, it provided a lot of information about colleges and what an athlete should know if he is trying to play in college.

Oh yeah BIV was a TON OF FUN! I cant wait untill its time to go again!
I would say to go to both. During the summer before your senior year you are looking to peak in your performance around august and september if you want to sign early. BIV is great to go to in the middle of the summer to hone in on your skills and maintain them. normally in the summer you are just playing game after game. This reminds you of the fundamentals and hustle that will greatly benefit you come august. I urge all young prospects to hustle on the field, some college coaches will scoop you up just for that drive they see inside you
