Most JUCO programs host or participate in JUCO showcase games during their fall season. Their emphasis is usually on exposing their sophomores.

JUCO exposure, to a great extent, is limited to games, word of mouth, but JUCO post season tournaments are very well attended by college recruiters and scouts.

A few HS showcases also admit JUCO players -- very few. Check out The Next Level Baseball Clinic. It is entirely organized and run by pro scouts. Last year it was held between Christmas and New Year at Tallahassee CC. Two days of instruction on all phases of the game follwed by two days of games with coaching by pro scouts. I'd say that about 8-10% of the players we're JUCO student atheletes.

If you're interested in the Next Level Clinic, send me a private message and I will try to put you in touch with the two scouts that organized last year's clinic.

Other things that are available for exposure are MLB tryouts and Major League Scouting Bureau tryouts. Coaches do talk and scouts talk to coaches.

There really should be a JUCO baseball page. While a lot of information is available about HS recruiting and 4-year college recruiting, a lot of JUCO information is mystery.

Another great contact and source for information about JUCO's is HSBBweb regular, Orlando.

Signed,
BNA (Another JUCO Parent)
