I want to address the trend over the last few months of slamming certain organizations. I just want to let it be known that it will not be tolerated any more and the posts will be deleted.

From now on, I will not let any of the many fine Dallas organizations be slammed or complained about on this forum. Send a private email and talk to them if you have a problem. This is not the place to air your dirty laundry and it will not be tolerated any more.

Thank you,

Eric Ridener

Way to go E. 'bout time. There is a lot of great baseball here in Texas, especially here in North Texas. There is a lot of great talent here and it's exciting to watch. Any of these "top" organizations can be beat on any given day. Even by teams not on the radar. We should just all be thankful for the talent pool here. The top competition here helps make all our kids better. There is no reason for team bashing. They are all great teams.
OK off my soap box Smile
I for one have never participated in "slamming" an organization or an individual but I feel this topic is important enough to mention that "censorship" is a slippery slope...public forums play an important role of providing a check and balance over the types of organizations that take advantage of people and in providing the public with access to the exchange of information (easy access to the exchange of information is not a bad thing)...most false "slams" are discarded as such rather quickly by people who do their homework...give the readers enough credit to pick and choose what it fact and opinion and even "sour grapes", those that have a hard time doing so...well you cant always be there to help them find the truth...easy access to the exchange of information does have its ugly side (when people post false and misleading information)...having said all that, I know this is not really a public forum and that as a user, you/we/I play by the rules...enough said, Im rambling.

Note: This comment is not an attempt to condone or support any specific recent posting but is intended to be generic in nature.

Information is information. Signing up to complain is bashing.

I can discern the difference between information and an agenda.

I am not talking censorship. I am talking about airing dirty laudry by a disgruntled person. If someone asks a question about an organization and a poster provides his positives and negatives, I am all for that. If he just wants to slam and accuse, not gonna happen and the moderators will decide the difference.

Guys like Cade, Sam and Tommy have done so much for their kids. I don't think it fair that whiners get to slam them in the name of free speech. I won't allow it. You cannot please everybody. Some people will be unhappy. If they have an issue call the offending party, don't make personal attacks on a website while being anonymous.

Posting here is a priviledge not a right. The first amendment doesn't apply. The board rules do. Personal attacks, baiting, etc are against the rules. This is not censorship, this is asking posters to obey the rules.

I didn't sign up just to "Bash" just relaying my experience. I have read this forum on and off for years. For the most part I didn't feel the need to add my 2 cents worth on mostly inane banter. I just wish I had had the oppurtunity to weigh peoples experiences wether pro or con on some subjects. I am a adult I don't need anyone to filter my information through rose colored glasses
I, for one, don't have a huge problem with stranded's earlier post.

stranded -- you do have the opportunity to gain perspective from others' experiences. I think much of it is in the delivery. And you should understand that the banter has grown increasingly negative towards one group or another over the past few months. It is not always obvious when people are kidding or when they are serious in their jabs. I read your post as a reflection of general dissatisfaction with what you were "sold".

As for Bighit's "intervention" -- it is good to be reminded of the purpose of this site on occasion.
