Sliding thru and over the bag at 2nd base

Is there a high school rule that says a runner cannot slide directly over the 2nd base bag.
Umpiring the bases last night...runner on 1st base...ground ball hit to 2nd baseman who throws to SS covering 2nd base...runner is out and slides directly over the bag...ends up about 5-6 feet past the bag...no interference..no throw to first base...defensive team says you cannot over slide the bag...my partner called the batter/runner going to first base out also

The NCAA rule does not allow a slide beyond the bag.....don't know the HS rule.

You cannot slide passed the base if you make contact with the fielder or alter the play in both NCAA and FED. Slider past the bag is fine if no contact is made and it does not alter the play.
