The new park is downtown, a short walk from the "old market" area and just east of Creighton's campus. Rosenblatt was a drive from downtown. I think people will like the new stadium and the location better.
Definitely looks like a nice park, but still not really a big fan of leaving Rosenblatt...

It's a big improvement because Nebraska folks are so nice. Now, if I was building it there would be no seats at all so they would leave quickly.

It's clearly a beautiful new stadium and Omaha is really making a nice downtown area along the river. We'll be there for the opener and I'm looking forward to it.
However, I will miss the charm of Rosenblatt, parking in someone's front yard and all of the vendor tents up and down the hill on 13th Street.
BTW, see that suspension bridge beyond Left Field? That is a beautiful walking bridge that swings in the wind. My son and I didn't get 1/4 of the way across before we chickened out and went back!

It's Creighton's home field too.

That's true...forgot about them. The stadium was designed with them in mind too. Not sure about the monster jam...I think that was an oversight, Woody.

I've heard the real problem with the jam, and probably the reason why they weren't courted, is they track in a lot of mud. Too much really...and the wrong type.

Lots of foul ground.... had to fit that football field in there didn't they.
If I ever get to go back again, I will miss Rosenblatt a lot. Would rather go there...the neighborhood, the tradition, the field, the stadium. Up there with Fenway and Wrigley to me. Maybe above.

Me too and from speaking to some folks in the area (customers) they hve some issues with the new park lots of money spent in a time that most don't even have jobs in those parts of the country.
