This thread may fizz out before it gets started but I thought what the heck.

I was going back looking at some of the WWBA tournies that Younggunson played in, looking at the games, and rosters of those teams he faced. You'd be surprised at some of the names that pop up on these rosters!

We played the talented Knoxville Yard in one of those games. Some of these Knoxville players were great!

One is his teammate now at Vol State CC....and even his roommate! Another that he pitched inning for inning against in the summer of 2007 is Middle Tenn State All American Bryce Brentz. He was blistering the catchers mitt that game! Another one was Western Kentucky Preseason 1st team All American selection Matt Rice, LHP Chad Bell who had committed to Univ of Tenn but signed with Texas Rangers last summer, and Matt Ramsey who pitches now for Univ of Tenn.

Younggun's team tied them 1-1 surrendering only 2 hits through 6 innings. Knowing what I know now...wow. lol

Any of you got any good WWBA stories to tell while your couped up inside?

My son went to a Perfect Game showcase in Waco, Texas, in 2005. Now we have no family in Texas -- just happened to be the one PG event we could make that summer due to our schedule.

You're gonna remember a kid named 'Scooter', right? And I remembered it again this weekend, five years later, when Trinity (TX) squared off against Austin College....and there's Scooter, playing second base for the 'Roos.

So my son leaves Waco, leaves Scooter, goes home to pitch four years of high school baseball over here in Korea, then gets recruited by a school in Texas at a showcase in Sacramento, CA......and then these guys meet up again on a field in San Antonio in 2010.
