SEOUL, South Korea – The U.S. and South Korea put their military forces on high alert Thursday after North Korea renounced the truce keeping the peace between the two Koreas since 1953. The North also accused the U.S. of preparing to attack the isolated communist country in the wake of its second nuclear bomb test, and warned it would retaliate to any hostility with "merciless" and dangerous ferocity.

(by the way, we went 4-1 in our five games in China. Our one loss was the third game of our first day there in 90 degree heat....the boys were a little worn down for that one!)

Well, considering the news, I may be back in the States much sooner than expected!!

You use words like honor, code, loyalty...you use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You have neither the time nor the inclination to explain yourself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom you provide, then questions the manner in which you provide it! You'd rather we(posters of HSBBWEB) just said thank you and went on our way. Otherwise, you suggest those baseball guys pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, You don't give a **** what we think we're entitled to!

nice.......we'd just finished playing THREE two-hour games in 92-degree heat. Give us a break. ALL of these players' parents are in the US military, putting their asses on the line every day. How about YOU show some respect.

El Kabong - your post was accidentally deleted -- this happens on the heels of my own posts a few times a year. I have let MN-MOM know so she can try and repost your post, and thanks for the support.

Easy, you need to check yourself, that may have been one of the most idiotic statemnts I have seen on here. I didn't notice anywhere in the photo a baseball field?

Nah, nothing new. This is the most press the crazy dude up north has received since the spy sub washed ashore about 12 years ago. The stronger the rhetoric, the more desperate for aid the country actually is - eating bark off trees and making tea with grass....things like that don't sit well with the people - though of course they can't say anything.

Here in the south, it's daily life as usual. Come on over, Beeze!!
