Soft Baseballs for training after injury

Does anyone have any experience with "soft" baseballs( Smash Factor from Driveline, VeloBlast, etc.)? Looking to start son slowly, with his hitting, after he recovers from elbow strain/injury. Recommendations of brand? we have a Hack Attack and would like to use the machine to throw something that won't "jar" his elbow.
