Softball Showdown In McTown

I know this is a BASEBALL site, but I wanted to let those who care know this:

Friday @ McKinney North HS 7pm Game 1 Rockwall vs. Garland.

Saturday @ McKinney North HS 4pm Game 2

Game 3 follows 2 if necessary

Garland is ranked #2 in the state in 5A and #5 in the USA Today National Rankings.

Come on out to McKinney North on Saturday at 1 and see McKinney North boys beat Texas High in game 2 of their series and then go on over to the softball field and watch Rockwall girls beat Garland in game 2 of their series.

Go Lady Jackets..........Go Bulldogs!! (my son's former team)

Did you see last week how Poteet walked BB (Brittany Barnhill) 5 out of the 6 AB's? She's almost impossible to get out. Nobody is throwing to her anymore! Smart coaches!

Good luck to NW and Frisco. We know several girls on both teams.

We do have a chance. It'll be a tight series with the team that makes the fewest mistakes winning. My daughter plays in the summer with 5 of the girls on Garland's team and she has caught Tomi and Whitney many, many times. She knows their pitches inside and out and will have a chance to do some damage against them. Hopefully our 1 and 2 hitters can get on for her to knock them in. That's the plan anyway!

You could at least wish us luck, huh?!

BB is something special and a great kid to boot! If I were pitching, I would treat her and Sulentic the same!

Then we're in the same boat!! I would like to see them gone, too!! It's hard to believe that last year Tomi (their #1 pitcher) was just a freshman and did what she did in the state finals against ya'll! She's pretty good to say the least!
