So none of the Manchester schools have a freshmen team? They also don't have any funds for assistant coaches from what I understand. If three class L schools don't have freshmen teams that is an awful lot of players that are not having places to play in the spring.

What can they do for the kids that get left out? I know its easy to say "it is what it is" but there has to be something that can be done. club sport? start the babe ruth league's early? Just have clinic/practices no games. Keeping the huge JV roster like was proposed in a previous post and only taking some players to games but allowing everyone to travel? This would be a problem if there is only one coach. Its basically impossible to handle a 15 player roster alone let alone a 20-25 player roster.

There are Many Knights throughout the North program from those teams. There are also quite a few in the South program as well. The Knights program has helped several players prepare for school ball in the Nashua Schools including BG. Loftus and his right hand man for the knights program Mark McCormack have done an excellent job in that regard.

I know personally my son wouldn't be the player he is today without having gone through the Knights program as a 13U and 14U. Plus I attribute his greatly improved mound work to his workouts this past winter with Nick Esposito who was the Knights pitching instructor. Nick is actually leaving to go play professionally in the Frontier league this spring. Hopefully he comes back for next winter as my son and him really clicked (both lefties..lol)
Thanks for the praise, but a lot of your sons improvements were made because he wanted to make them, he worked hard and listened and bought into the style I teach.

Thanks again

I have to agree Memorial's success last year was not a fluke, they have the talent and the coaching staff to provide the direction. I have coached a number of the players coming up through that system and honestly believe they are stronger than last year. Now I won't go as far to say they are going to be a top 5 team, however I do think that the team they will put on the field next season will be a better squad than last year, especially giving the coaching staff a second year with the program. I would also like to quickly mention Tim Sullivan, the guy I believe will be their Ace this year. This kid is a smart pitcher who competes on the mound, keep an eye out for him this spring, he really impressed me this fall, and as Skip Lebel reminded me yesterday he pitched this well all fall while contributing to his high school's s o c c e r team's championship run. This kid competes.
IronWill,

My comment was from March 29th before the season and I was more referring to the school in general - class size after losing the Bedford kids etc... No doubt they had a solid run last season. It was an OLD POST.

Now it was pretty awesome to see a player from your program record the final out of the World Series last night!!
