Both CSU Monterey and SBCC have new coaches so any history on them is probably irrelevant. Cuesta is one of the top JC’s in the state and you will need to be close to a D1 player to get on the field, probably the same for SBCC since I think they won the league last year. SBCC is ranked academically as one of the top 10 JC’s in the country. Cal Lu has a solid program, upper end of the SCIAC, but usually not the top team. They also have a JV team, and a player from my son’s HS team is playing on it. He will most likely never see the Varsity team. His older brother just finished his Sr year there and was drafted by the Phillies. He threw in the low to mid 90’s. My son’s scout team has played the Cal Lu team in the past and although we hung with them it was fall/wood and they have a handful of D1 kids playing there that are pretty darn good. Cal Lu field is as good as any D1 around. PM if you want more details or contacts at Cal Lu.
The league is likely to change a bit for Cuesta and SBCC as it looks like Moorpark will be dropping baseball after this season. Cuesta has historically had a stronger program year in and year out than SBCC. O44 will tell you they've had good coaching. JMO, but I think SBCC is a bit better academically unless you are targeting CalPoly SLO. SBCC's field isn't the greatest even though it is a nice place to play and Santa Barbara is a nice place to live if you can afford it. Cuesta isn't too bad either.

I think Marty Slimak at CLU is a good coach and he runs a good program. It is a good D3 and they are near the top of the league or win most every year. They have good facilities. CLU isn't cheap on the surface but they typically offer some pretty good financial packages. The area is nice although not cheap.
