We seem to have been in a confrontational mode lately on this board, so I thought I would throw out something positive about one of the HSBBWEB members:

Vanlandingham coaches a talented 10U baseball team. My son's team played them in a league game last night. His team was clearly superior to ours and after they gained about a 7 run lead, he clearly stopped running his kids, but he didn't do it in an obvious manner. He took what his hitters earned, but nothing more. His team could have easily put another 6-8 runs on the board, but they didn't. I never heard his kids say anything negative about our team either.

Thanks, Lynn, you do it the right way.

Funny haha, but the Train is busy updating stats for those two kids.

Hopefully we will see you this weekend...send me a PM with your game times if you get a minute.
Having had the opportunity for my son to play for Vanlandingham for the past 3+ summer and fall seasons, I will attest that he is indeed a class act. Even if he couldn't pull that last win out of his hat in Steamboat Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

All of the teams he put together were void of a bunch of big name players but always put thier cleats on knowing that they could beat anybody.

And, his 10 year old is a STUD. Even at that young age, he has that swagger.

But enough of the gushing...
No Choo Choo is too busy thinking up ways "us women" can keep ourselves busy. Frown See DMN thread.

Disclaimer: I do not Iron, I do not scrub floors, I do not self promote, I may not be one of the "guys" but I do like Baseball and will defend those that have been kind to me and will always defend/appauld those that I respect in opinion and value. Got to get back to my soap operas... Big Grin

As for Lynn, I haven't met him yet but my son plays ball with his son at the high school. If his son is any indication, I'm not surprised that Lynn and his team play the game with class.
