Let’s not put the cart before the horse. Attending a pro tryout and negotiating or accepting a dollar amount to sign a professional contract are at different ends of the recruitment cycle. Besides, the dollar amount it would take to sign a player varies with each player. I have seen a player turn down over a million dollars and I have seen players sign for a few thousand dollars. To each his own! Remember before a player can sign for a specific amount of money, that money has to be OFFERED to him by the pro club. The most impact a player has on his draft position (and signing bonus) is his talent level and his projectability. ---- NOT his ability to negotiate.
