Son told he is on MLB Follow List- | High School Baseball Web

What significance, if any, does this have? Son was contacted by a scout from the Diamondbacks in August,who said his performance at the Area Code Tryouts last June got him onto a 'MLB Follow List' A scout from the Phillies came to see him at a practice on 9/5. He hit a HR during the scrimmage & his coach told him the scout said he was impressed with his hitting & would be back to see him play some regular games -

Anyone know how the scouting process works or is this routine for all 2011's at this point?

Congratulations on your son, he is obviously being noticed and that is a great thing. I can't give you any info concerning MLB lists, could they be referring to Perfect Game follow list??? MLB may have their own?

Probably means a report was filed by the MLB Scouting Bureau, which then gets disseminated to all the MLB teams.
