I’d like to announce a new service I’m offering starting this summer… “Play In School – College Bus Tour” June 24 – 27 Itinerary & full details are on the website. http://www.playinschool.com/bus_tour.html
Great advice Twotex. Reminds me of when I tell people to make sure they go see West Point during the winter!
Also, not to discourage anyone, because the Texas trip will be epic, but the reality is that the state of Texas does not import a lot of players. There is so much talent in Texas that many kids end of going out of state.
So while I would not turn a kid from New England away from the Texas tour, the Virginia tour might be more strategic.
The real challenge in Texas is the relatively small number colleges given the large population of the state. The colleges there tend to be larger. I was amazed when I looked in the state by state index in a college guide book. In contrast, there are many opportunities to play here in the northeast, especially if you are open to small school D2 and D3 baseball.
Good thing my son decided to stay in the east to play!
