I watched a live online stat game of my son in a game played Monday. His team, Birmingham Southern was up by 10 to 1 in the 7th inning, seemingly an easy win. Then the wheels came off and the opposing team hit for 9 runs to tie the game 10 - 10 where the score remained when my son came to bat as a DH in the bottom of the 11th inning with two outs and the bases loaded. He had Sac bunted two innings before to advance a runner to 1st. The count was 3-2 and then.... by this time I was almost in my 3rd cardiac arrest. You ever try watching live stats and you'll know what I'm talkin about. He struck out swinging, but he says it was a tip ball. It went past the catcher to the backstop in plenty of time for the man on third to score, but he didn't move...inning over. They won anyway in the next inning 11 - 10. He called me right after the game to say he was ok with what happened, for which I told him I was very proud. We'll be up there this weekend to watch 4 live games...none of this live stats stuff.

I use to do the same thing with my daughter trying to keep up with her volleyball games at Columbia University, but it drove me crazy. I read every stat in a negative way.
