I enjoy baseball and can do it.

Cubbies just happened to be on at the time.

Saw "Sweet Lou" blow up at the reporters during the "press conference".

He may not last the year if he's acting this way after 10-12 games.

Zambrano is a stud. His problem is between his ears. When I was a kid, we called it "rabbit ears". When he's on the road, Z, lets opposing fans affect him. Today, he fell apart when Soriano didn't catch the ball and that incident affected him for the next 4-5 batters.
Rosy, I think you are right. If Ohman doesn't get traded, released or sent to the minors this time, it will happen next time.

I rather enjoyed watching Lou in the post-game press conference. If the Cubs are bad, at least I'll have this to look forward to.

Quite a difference between Lou and Dusty. Dusty would have made excuses for Zambrano and Ohman and maybe would have even chuckled a little bit, reminding everyone that it is still early and not to get so excited about the bad game.

IMHO this was a really bad loss, about as bad as it gets for a regular season game in April.
And for the record.....I agree with Beenthere, if the Cubs expect to contend for anything they can't do it with Soriano in CF. He just doesn't judge a flyball. Maybe he better go to left.....and the cubs need a CF.

A friend of mine close to the team told me that The Cubs are interested in Aaron Rowand and Brian Anderson and think he (Anderson) will play better away from Ozzie, who stabbed him in the back.

Woody, you better watch out, you'll get so big...
I'm hoping that I've already maxed out...looking forward to some elder years shrinkage.

...you will think you can say anything and then you will end up like Imus.
On a good hair day or a bad hair day?

Watch yourself mister.
Might as well...no one else will!

Gentlemen, Please explain.

I have heard repeatedly by ex-players, current players, GM's, etc that CF is an EASIER postion to play than the corners. That would especially be true in Wrigley with one of the toughest RF's in baseball. They claim that you can read the ball easier off the bat in center, and blah blah blah.

I am giving my opinion that Soriano will be no worse than an average MLB center fielder and will make up for some misplays with his arm. He'll be out there until Felix Pie is either ready or traded in a deal. Long term, Soriano is probably best suited for LF. When he's starts mashing you won't be focusing on his fielding. JMO.
