Lenell McGee singled with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to score John Morsovillo with the winning run for host Mount Carmel (18-6, 3-3) in the Catholic League Blue. Tony Manville (4-1) pitched a four-hitter and struck out seven for the Caravan in addition to providing a two-run double.
Lou Soto and Joe Dispensa knocked in runs for St. Rita (18-2, 5-1). Steve Witczak added two hits and a run for the Mustangs.
No. 2 Lockport 8, Richards 4
Matt Denton (2-for-3) had two RBI and Frank Kucera scored twice as host Lockport (17-4) prevailed in the nonconference game. Steve Kunce (4-2) struck out 12 in pitching a complete game for the Porters.
No. 3 Joliet Catholic 15, No. 7 Marist 9
Ken Tezak (3-for-4, 5 RBI) was a single short of the cycle as Joliet Catholic Academy (16-3, 4-2) won the East Suburban Catholic Conference slugfest in Mount Greenwood. Mark Siefert added a pair of hits and four RBI for the Hilltoppers.
Mark Gorski was 2-for-3 with four RBI for Marist (15-6, 6-2). Andy Kungs (4-for-4, RBI) contributed three runs and Scott Slubowski (2-for-3, run) three RBI for the RedHawks.

Mike Pericht belted a three-run home run as Providence Catholic (14-5, 6-0) prevailed at home in the Catholic League Blue. Nick Gorski added three hits and two RBI for the Celtics.

Brian Wyrobek went 2-for-4 with an RBI for visiting Andrew (13-8, 4-3) in the eight-inning SouthWest Suburban Red contest.

Dave Norkus went 3-for-3 with a double and seven RBI as visiting Oak Forest (17-4, 8-0) won the SICA North-Silver contest in five innings. Matt Kucharski was 3-for-3 with five runs for the Bengals, whose onslaught also included a two-run homer by Todd McCain and a solo shot by Jason McGrail. Joe Longawa (1-0) surrendered two earned runs on three hits in four innings and also struck out four.

Matt Foley (6-0) struck out 12 in pitching a no-hitter for St. Laurence (15-5, 6-0) in the Catholic League White. Ron Anderson and Joe Musolino both had two hits and two RBI for the host Vikings.
Brother Rice 9, Fenwick 2
Brother Rice (12-7, 3-3) cruised to the Catholic League Blue win in Oak Park as Jim Calderone (3-for-4, 2 runs) and Joe Albano (2-for-5) both knocked in two runs. Ryan Wischhover (3-2) pitched six innings for the Crusaders, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out four.
Thornridge 11, Thornton 1
Cicero Porter's three-run homer sparked host Thornridge (9-13, 1-1) to the five-inning victory in the SICA South-Silver.
Lemont 7, Fenton 0
Mike Biernat had a good day on the mound (3 hits allowed, 10 strikeouts) and at the plate (2-for-3, 2 runs) in leading Lemont (11-10, 7-1) to the Suburban Prairie East road victory. Andrew Jay went 2-for-5 and Nick Simone (2 RBI) and Nick Kendzora (3-run double) also contributed for the victors.
Oak Lawn 5, Argo 3
Host Oak Lawn (13-9, 6-2) prevailed in the SICA North-Gold as Nick Chigas pitched a complete-game six-hitter, striking out four. The Spartans were led offensively by Matt Tadla (3-for-4, 3 RBI).
T.F. South 9, Thornwood 4
T.F. South (12-3, 7-0) recorded the SICA South-Silver victory in Lansing as Jeff Booker contributed two homers and three RBI. Nick Eyer aided the cause for the Rebels with two hits and three runs.
Ag Science 22, Chicago Military Academy 1
Anthony Okon went 3-for-4 with two homers and six RBI as visiting Ag Science (10-8, 4-1) won the Public League Ernie Banks game in four innings.
Bloom Township 14, T.F. North 5
Rob Nehf and R.J. Durham each knocked out four hits and two RBI in the SICA South-Silver road victory for Bloom Township (11-3, 5-1). Nick Lococo (4-for-5) and Chris Hendron (3-for-4, 2 RBI, 2 runs) contributed for the Blazing Trojans. Herb Haskins went five innings, striking out five for the victory.

Seth Arriaga went 4-for-4 with five RBI and Kendrick Hawkins (4-1) notched the win for visiting Rich South (11-8, 6-2 SICA South-Gold).
Lincoln-Way East 13, Lincoln-Way Central 8
Ryan August (3-2) went 6 2/3 innings to earn the SouthWest Suburban Red win for visiting Lincoln-Way East (11-7, 3-4), which received two-hit efforts from Dan Scott (3 RBI, 2 runs), John Koszulinski, Mark Zybak, Brendan Mulheran and Nick Galich.
Tinley Park 15, Evergreen Park 6
Kyle Piotrowski pitched six innings, giving up four hits while striking out 10 in the SICA North-Silver road win for Tinley Park (13-7, 3-4). Steve Johnson (3-for-4, 2 RBI) and Dan Hunoway (2-for-3, 3-run triple) paced the Titans offense.
Bremen 12, Eisenhower 11
Bret Miller went 3-for-4 with five RBI and Quinton Huckabee went 2-for-3 with three RBI for visiting Bremen (13-8, 3-5) in the eight-inning SICA North-Silver match-up. Josh Dugan (3-0) earned the win for the Braves.
Nazareth Academy 4, Marian Catholic 3
Joe Frigo (2-3) struck out eight and allowed four hits for visiting Marian Catholic (9-10, 1-7) in the East Suburban Catholic Conference contest. Frigo (home run) and Jack Krause (2 RBI) each had two hits for the Spartans.
