All 3 schools you mentioned are class 4A, the state's largest designation. York and Northwestern are picked to finish 3rd and 4th respectively in their regions (like our districts), which would make them playoff eligible. I don't know anything about Chester. Actually, I'm not 100% sure they're 4A. We play 2-3 high school tournaments a year in South Carolina and any team that is ranked in their region is a pretty solid team. A good source of info can be found at SCVarsity.com. I hope that helps, good luck.
Chester is actually a AAA school (the state's 2nd biggest classification). I would like to help more but that is really the one area of the state that I know nothing about. but scvarsity.com should be a pretty good source, I just went over there and glanced over it but did not see anything on Chester on the AAA baseball board, but did notice that they started their region schedule 0-1. Sorry I couldnt be a bigger help
I have heard Wren is within 3 innings of being knocked out of the SCHSL playoffs being down 7-1 in the 4th of a game that has been postponed(although that cant be confirmed right now). Also heard that Place did not start in the game because he injured his leg, although that too hasnt been confirmed. As a Carolina fan I am hoping that he actually makes it to campus although that doesnt look very likely.
