South Hampton Roads Rankings

It was in Tuesday's Va. Pilot:

1. Western Branch
2. Maury
3. Cox
4. Grassfield
5. Great Bridge
6. Greenbrier Christian
7. Ocean Lakes
8. First Colonial
9. Granby
10. Indian River

How is OL still at #7 and Cox is still ahead of them? I heard GB is doing well but haven't seen much from them in the paper. I'm sure that coach has them whipped into shape and competiting like always.

The rankings of course is just a guessing game....

This would be my top seven right now.

Yeah, Mine would be in the same category range. I would have Maury in the Top 3 though.

Alot is going to change in the next standings due to the Beach Blast. it was a huge step up in competition for them to bring a team such as Hanover to get a tast of different region teams this time of year.

ECUPirates... how do you figure rankings for teams that didn't play in beach blast but in other tournaments?

WB reporter is doing a great job of updating the current standings for the SE district. Anyone have the current situation in the Beach district?

I wasnt going on rankings from the Beach Blast Games. If you noticed I am arguing about the rankings that came out on Tuesday. Which is from the previous week of baseball where OL beat two district teams. All I am saying that for the 4 games played in the district such far, they are overlooking teams like OL and FC (before the tough losses this week obv.), and giving too much credit to teams like Cox, who in fact had just lost to FC.

Its all just opinion and everyone knows how opinions are....as such is all my comments, just opinion. We will see how everything plays back once the teams get off their breaks.

ECUpirates -- thanks for clarifying. I know these rankings change all the time. There are so many good teams this year...It is great that our kids have such great competition...only makes them better!

I noticed that Bayside and Princess Anne play 3 times (yesterday, 4/13 and 5/4) according to PA's posted scheduled. Are all three of those considered District games for standings purposes or does yesterday's, during spring break, not count?

Thanks for the reference WB. I normally check 757teams but for some reason this time I could not find the link. I hate not having the sports section of the VaPilot to read everyday anymore!
