In this I happen to agree with TPM. You're asking about a pretty wide area with no idea about what level of academics or major.

In Georgia, Georgia Southern has a very good program, College of Charleston over the line is good .... but there are many more. Are you looking to play out of state? How far up/down the coast are you looking? How far west would you consider?

What are your priorities: Education first or Athletics first? If you want to stay in the Southeast and you are (or have) an excellent student, Davidson should be considered.

I don't consider Duke a major baseball school, and it's academics are fantastic. Coastal Carolina has a strong program, as does UNC-W, Elon. UAB should be looked at, along with Birmingham-Southern and Winthrop. Western Carolina is always tough. Georgia State should be considered. Appalachian State is young but improving fast. ETSU has a good program. I haven't even gotten into Virginia which has some very good programs both baseball and academics. A lot of schools are harder to get into academically than athletically.

Each of these schools are different geographically and academically ... some have narrow choices in majors and others are pretty wide open. Some are in large communities and some in small ones. Then there is the consideration of "price range" which could be a factor. Furman at 34,000/year could be considered "pricy" by some, but for others, it's not a problem. Wake Forest, Virginia Tech ... the list goes on and on and on...

A list of "good schools" in baseball is just pretty worthless unless you've got a basis of narrowing your search, so we can't help too much until we have more information.
Check out some of the schools in the Peachbelt conference. They are D2, but they do have a good reputation for being solid baseball schools playing against solid competition. By no means are these schools SEC or ACC caliber. But good baseball. Only one team in the entire conference had a record below .500 last year.
