USSSA baseball

RJM is unusually taciturn tonight.

He's right about USSSA baseball, and you can see their site at www.usssa.com. Click on baseball, and then ignore the prompt to create a login ID. Instead click on teams at the left side menu. Teams are listed by state, by age, and by level within an age. You probably would be interested in "Baseball Boys 9 and Under." If you highlight a team name and click submit, you'll get to a team page that shows the tournament activity of the team.

The problem is USSSA does not provide any contact info on how to contact the teams.

Sounds like he is trying to develop a useful list to invite teams to tournaments and park events.

It was my way of providing information and getting out before starting to opine on 8U and 9U players traveling outside the county to play baseball.

For most of the time 8U and 9U travel outside of their local area may not make sense, but there may be times where a team wants to come in, catch a Braves game, go to the Atlanta Aquarium, and play in a tournament over a long weekend.

In that case, I can see how a park would want to set up something like that to attract out of town teams. Kids get tired of playing the same kids every weekend. It is exciting for kids to know they are playing someone from out of town.
