It was mentioned in another thread and someone asked to confirm, so I decided to make a thread about the fact that the Southeastern District Tournament will now include 6 teams rather than 4 (as has been the case since the tournament's inception).

Head Coaches were sent an email this past week from the district AD.

There are 10 teams in the Southeastern District, just like the Beach, however the Beach District has an 8-team tournament.

Gotta think this is a good thing. Should result in many more meaningful games in late April and May then there have been in the past.

Teams will be able to make a late run to get to 9-9 or 10-8 and have a shot that would have been dead by spring break under the old system.

It's still way too soon to talk about this kind of thing so that's exactly what I am going to do. It is likely WB is out in front and GB returns enough to be a step ahead of the pack. If true that would have left 2 spots for what could be 5 or 6 good teams. This way 4 of them will get the chance to have a playoff run.
