Southeastern District Goes to 6-Team Tournament

Am excited to hear that. What will be the structure - first 2 seeds with initial byes or will it be 2 pools of 3 with winners advancing or something else?

It didn't say in the email. However, I am thinking they will go with the top 2 getting a bye... I think that was discussed as a suggestion in the spring.

That is GREAT news....long overdue. Hopefully since more games will be played scheduling will accommodate the additional games and give arms a rest.

Gotta think this is a good thing. Should result in many more meaningful games in late April and May then there have been in the past.

Teams will be able to make a late run to get to 9-9 or 10-8 and have a shot that would have been dead by spring break under the old system.

It's still way too soon to talk about this kind of thing so that's exactly what I am going to do. It is likely WB is out in front and GB returns enough to be a step ahead of the pack. If true that would have left 2 spots for what could be 5 or 6 good teams. This way 4 of them will get the chance to have a playoff run.
