On a Misc note I wonder if the Pilot will publish the new conference standings?
Looks like Oscar Smith and Indian River must have played a makeup game yesterday. The Virginian Pilot reports that OS beat IR, 3-1.
According to the Va Pilot, the OS/IR game produced a total of 5 hits. Wow.

The weather today is going to make for a mess of a schedule for the next two weeks, as some programs are still one game behind from last week.

Apparently it doesn't matter who Grassfield throws. I keep hearing that they have two No. 1s who throw ABSOLUTE GAS, and LOCATE the heck out of it. 
Does the conference that Hickory and GB play in only count one time against each other?
I have only see a few games and was reporting what I saw. I am not saying that Smith / Stallings are MLB draft picks. Just that I saw them throw pretty darn good.

I believe that Eason allowed only 2 hits and that both of the runs scored by Grassfield were unearned runs.
NR over Lakeland 7-2. NR started out a bit flat, then got it going.
Trevor Riggs with a solo HR, and Shane McCaw with a 2-run shot.
WB is slacking of late. Only 14 runs per game this week.
This marks the beginning of the end!

Nope. It was solo. He hit it so hard, that it should probably count for two runs though!
Leadoff hitter that inning made the first out. Followed by the 2 hitter, who singled up the middle. He stole 2nd. Three hitter (Rivers) hit's line drive single to left, driving in the man on second. Rivers is thrown out at 2nd base attempting to stretch single to double. (It was one of a few calls missed in that game). Therefore, there are now two outs, no one on base, and Riggs steps to the plate and promptly deposits a fastball onto the farm behind the school.
