Ok, I will jump into this minefield...Not disagreeing with anyone on your list. Just adding some that I think diserve recognition.

nansemond river-

3b Blake Eure- defense as well as hitting are solid.

hickory-

Ty Best- A fine utility player (can play anywhere on the field/ except catcher/ can probably do that as well) that has a very good left handed bat. Quick out of the box. He is a D1 player in my opinion (for what it is worth).

Steven Berzciak- Quick can play infield and outfield. Made Varsity as a freshmen at Hickory. Needs more plate appearances.

indian river-

Nick Milvo- Raw but has talent plays catcher and in the OF. Has some power at the plate and is only a Sophomore.

western branch-

Bobby Barefoot- Fast and a solid line drive hitter. Should play in the OF along side of Brooks and Hunt.
Barefoot played a good bit of catcher before reaching WB varsity. In 2009, Barefoot played WB varsity catcher when Cassidy pitched but in 2010, Cassidy did not pitch so Cassidy anchored the catching position. In 2011, Barefoot played outfield when Johnsonbaugh pitched and when Barefoot's bat came alive, he gained an outfield position outright. WB will have Hunt, Brooks and Johnsonbaugh for outfield, when Johnsonbaugh is not pitching so Barefoot may be in another position. WB has to replace its entire starting infield as they all graduated in 2011. Barefoot has been working at second base during this fall as one of those possible replacements. And if Barefoot's bat is hitting and the rising catcher's is not, you might well see Barefoot back behind the dish. Goes without saying, Barefoot should be on the field somewhere.

That happened last season (2011)...I thought.

I did not know this. Good for him.. he will do well and help the team anywhere on the field it sounds like.

Once the season starts, it might be worth posting the starting lineups for each team. They are almost listed here for some of the teams.

I recognize the starters / line-ups will change with different pitchers, players rotating, but instead of just recognizing the "best" players as deemed by this board, perhaps listing the starters for all teams will allow everyone to recognize the "best" plays regardless of who the player is.
