Southern Maryland Camp

The Southern Maryland Winter Baseball Camp has just ended the third week of camp. Next Sunday, Feb. 1st, will be the last day of camp. Pitchers/Catchers 8:30am - 12:00 and Infielders/Outfielders 12:30 - 4pm.

"Highly recommend" this camp as Director Jerry Wargo is a hands on kinda guy whom wants to help players get to that next level and gain exposure for a possible college/pro future in baseball.

The camp is held this winter at Arundel HS in Gambrills, MD. Stop by and see for yourself and ask questions of the players/parents on site for recommendations of this camp.

Just to name a few baseball vip's seen on site;

Pro scouts - Orioles, Angels, Expos, Mets & Pirates.

Colleges - Wake Forest, UVA, Kent State, George Mason, Marist, Indiana Univ, Methodist, Xavier, and Western Carolina to name a few. There were a lot more coaches in attendance and hopefully a fellow webster will add a few more names for your information.

You already know my feelings about this showcase/camp.

Without a doubt on of the BEST in the Mid-Atlantic during the winter season.

Jerry Wargo and his staff are top notch. Please tell him I say hello and all is well with Chris.

Couldn't agree more. Both of our boys have attended for I think going on 4 years now and received wonderful instruction. They attended the Saturday camp at Episcopal HS and one year at Ann Arundel.

Sorry to say we had a prior Sunday commitment this year so could not attend.

Will the camp be re-appearing in northern Virginia next year? I understand some school renovation made the usual location unavailable this winter.

Hopefully it will return to NVA again next year. One of the best camps that you can attend. My 05 son learned a great deal and enjoyed the experience.

I have been attending this winter. Very good quality program. Just being able to watch Adenhart and see what it takes to be a draft pick was a pleasure. The talks before we start are usually very informative as well as 'Extra Innings'. I think I will be attending the summer camp.

Its my understanding that it is coming back to NVA next year.. I know how you hate leaving the country for the big city, but this camp is well worth it

, even if you have to drive to MD.

I have also been there from freshmen year to (now) junior year and i will most likely go this upcoming june. I love the camp because you get exposure and instruction. Beetle Bailey helped my hitting and the scouts invited me to a perfect game showcase where i am now getting more invites.
