Our sons made many trips to Cocoa Expo over the years. Things we didn't like: Dorms are ratty and the food pretty bad. Things we liked: lots of fields and lots of teams make it a very "efficient" place to go. We tried going other places and always came back to Cocoa because it was just easier. Things we REALLY liked: the boys stayed in the dorms or at a hotel with the coaches, and the parents and families stayed at the beach. We got a perfect Spring Break out of it -- lots of fun and lots of baseball.

My one son's team has gone to Cocoa Expo forever but this year they are thinking of going someplace different. I think the coaches wife is wants a change. I would recommend not syaing on the grounds and the food is not very good, but the amount of teams and the fields are good. The parents had a great time because it was spring break with money. We stayed in Cocoa Beach(which is different than Cocoa).

My other son's team went to Bucky F#$%^ing Dent
Baseball School in Del Ray FL( Sorry about my language but I am from Boston) Facilities are great(fields, dorm and food).I do not know the status of the camp since Wilma. They have a web page.
baseball guy... Cocoa Expo will suit your needs fine. We've been going down for years for the same purpose (getting our kids on the field prior to their HS season). It was a nice break from the cold in the NE part of the country. The best places to stay, albiet more of a drive, are in cocoa beach. There are a lot of hotels right on the ocean that really add a nice touch to the trip. One year we stayed at a hotel no more than 1/2 mile from the complex. It was OK, and it was sure nice being close to the fields, but it just felt like something was missing (i.e., the ocean). None of our kids have ever stayed in the dorms, so I can't comment on those, but they sure do look old. You can't lose either way... it just depends on what the parents want, and how much driving you want to do. (i'd guess the drive from cocoa beach to the fields is 20-25 minutes). Have fun...
