Soxnole....

Whether or not you believe it, I have a ton of respect for you. You know that right now, when the world is upside down and the Sox are World Champions that a Cub fan is not going to go without trying to antagonize Sox fans as much as possible. It's the only way Sox fans can be brought down to any level of misery....after all if I'm miserable about the Cubs, I sure don't want Sox fans to be so happy. So you know that any Cub fan right now is going to remind you every time the Sox stumble what their problems are (and they do have them)and you really wouldn't expect anything less having lived here for some time. Sox fans do the same thing to Cub fans when both teams stink.

The Sox do have problems worth worrying about...They rely on power too much in their offense, the small ball is gone. They have a problem at SS and CF. Uribe has been around for a while...last year was the abberation for him. The bullpen really does need some help. The Sox would be a much better team with the Cubs' middle relief and we all know that. So again...look at the poll. While a few choices were there to rile some Sox fans up, most are right on. You are too much of a baseball guy to deny it.

Fast...The only thing that the Sox need is a journeyman centerfielder. If Ozzie lays off of Uribe, Juan will finish hitting.260 with 15 homers and 50-65 rbis. Ozzie needs to eliminate some of the cynicism with Uribe. The comments about 6-6-06 and Uribe's sons birth were ABSOLUTELY TASTELESS AND INAPPROPRIATE.

Anderson needs a year or two in AAA ball and then he'll be fine. It is painfully obvious each night that he is not ready for major league pitching.

Is Corey Patterson available? Juan Pierre?

The Sox have brought themselves to where the Wild Card is in reach. The Tigers are for real, expect them to stretch the lead back to 8-10 games.

If The Sox want to repeat, they have to get better. In the playoffs, they won't get the long ball enough to win against tough pitching. If they got to the WS, no way they can handle any number of superior teams.
