Sul...Just calling it as I see 'um so far. Record? Ozzie doesn't start putting the "real lineup" in a game until the last week of spring training. Cubbies, on the other hand, had their entire starting lineup in place on Sunday and they only lost to the Sox by a score of 11-2. I would suppose that if they didn't have their starters in, they might have lost 197-3.

Not much so far with the Cubbies and their extra $150 million.

I would have kept Cedeno over Izturis. DeRosa is ok. Holes in left and right. Not much pitching except for Carlos and a couple of resurrected arms.

I'll take the Cards and Brewers, easily, over the Cubbies.

Cubs will have "problems" with Soriano by mid-season and will not know what to do with him and his "attitude" because no one wants the big contract. Wait until his "centerfielding" costs his pitchers a couple of games....it won't be pretty from Lou and the pitching staff.

Tuzi...What the heck are you saying?

Go White Sox!

Who's the minor league players the Sox will be running out at SS, CF, and LF this year? The Sox have taken a major step back. Also, many holes in the bullpen for the south siders. The Cubs on the other hand have 4 all stars in their everyday lineup. Matt Murton will also be just fine in left field. I know he won't turn out to be a Brian Anderson. That guy couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat last year. The Cubs bullpen is solid and Pinella's a proven winner. An underdog in the NLCS against Pittsburgh and an underdog against the defending champion A's in the 1990 playoffs and Worls Series. Pinella and the Reds won both series easily. Then of course just a few years ago the 100+ win seasons with the Mariners. This Cub lineup will be one of Pinella's best lineups in years. When it's all said and done after the 2007 season, the Cubs will still and always be #1 in Chicago. That kills so many of those select few Sox fans out there. The Cubs will contend with the World Series Champion Cardinals and a really improved Milwaukee team for the division this year. In the Al Central the Sox will be lucky to finish in third place.
Thanks fball, I will take vazquez, probably has the best stuff of all mentioned except maybe big z. If this guy works the mental side a bit he could have a heck of a year. Garland also could push for 20 wins if his bullpen works, would have had 20 last year with a pen. Kind of reminds me of the days when wood would get stuck around 14 wins when he should have had 17-19 with a descent pen and a couple of hits.
