Can anyone out there (I know there is) explain to me what SPARQ Raings are. The 30 yard dash is self explanatory, but I don't know what a 20 yard shuffle is or a Rotational Power Ball.

Being a good lumberman I can see the forest where the trees used to be!
My understanding from a major D-1 college coach is it really has little to do with baseball, and one should not sweat it if your SPARQ numbers are not that good. I also know a trainer who trains kids for football combines and specifically for the SPARQ tests for weeks in advance and there are a few tricks that help you score better.
SPARQ has no meaningful use at all to help coaches and scouts isolate premier players.
There is no correlation betwen what they test for baseball and on the field performance. Even SPARQ cannot come up with any meaningful use of their scores.
Exactly, what does the combined score mean? Nobody knows. It's just a numerical measurement. And if you've never done the drill before you may not score that well.
