Anybody have one of these ? What do you think ? Other recommendations for "golf ball" style machines ?
An educated man went to visit a Zen master. He wished to learn what the Zen master knew. The master invited him in for tea and listened as his visitor told of his outstanding education. As the visitor talked on and on about his long and valuable education, the Zen master began pouring more tea for the man, until his cup was overflowing and the tea was spilling onto the man and onto the floor. “Stop,” the man said, “My cup is already too full; it cannot hold anymore.” “Yes,” said the Zen Master.

I do. My honest review is that it is a great product but a bit on the flimsy side (fragile is more like it). However, every time something broke I've received new parts right away...the company is very good that way. Maybe it's me, but its just not built very tough. I've had every part replaced (including the shell) and now the auto feeder motor is burned out so I have to feed the balls one at a time.

I do not have experience with any of the other brands out there, but I love the golf ball pitching machine as a tool! It is much, much better than throwing those suckers for hours on end. The best investment I've ever made as far as a hitting tool.

Maybe others have had experience with different brands and provide a comparison, but except for the durability, I love my PP.

Hopes this helps.
I've had mine for 2 years. Yeah, you have to be careful when buying the golf balls. I bought some from Walmart in the golf section and they were just slightly smaller and did not work. We also used the machine in the garage sometimes and we hang an large blanket to help coral the balls. The company sells screening fairly cheap that you can hang and even has a good idea in making your own "batting cage" by using a EZ-up tent and the screen.

I must have gotten a bad unit because within 30 days I had to replace the tripod and both wheels. Within 2 months I replaced a wheel motor, a circuit board, and another wheel (the wheel rubber kept popping out of the housing...I think they have since fixed this design flaw because the wheels I have now look nothing like the first several and they have lasted). Also, the housing cracked right down by where the red light is.

Again, overall, I love the machine and the company, but maybe another brand is more durable.
I've had one for a few years. They are not very durable but mine is still working. I think the basic one is all you need. I agree get the whiffle ball brand and don't use when the balls get wet. Red Face

I have heard of good results with a different brand that uses a blower kind of power that reportedly works more consistently and damp balls would not matter. That's good if you are in high humidity areas and want to practice in the morning while it's cool.
