i would rather face a guy who thorws a 95 mile an hour fastball straight then a guy who thorws 85 but everything dips and darts and has good offspeed stuff... speed is not the only thing imporant to pitching

65 is a little above average for 12U. If you are hitting 74, you are throwing cheddar.

As for gaining velocity and progressing, it depends on genetics and how hard you work.

The one thing that the JV coach really liked besides speed was my control. I have a pretty good work schedule and I hope to keep that up in the future. My Dad keeps me paying attention to my mechanics and how important they are. I just wanted to have an idea how fast I would throw in HS. I am in the 6th grade and my Dad says school comes first and to leave the girls alone, but I don't know about that. Anyway I was just curious what my speed could be in HS. I am 5'2, and I weigh 115 lbs.
