Is there such a thing as seeing a doctor who specializes in sports injuries for just a check-up type of visit?

i.e. Could I just have a doctor look at my pitching arm and tell me IF anything is wrong, and have the doctor look for things that could be dangerous down the road?

Or do I need a injury related reason to see one?

Josh, we have worked with our trainer and have a list of Doctors that we want our kids to go to. Perhaps, you have heard of the reputation of some Doctors in your area and know which Doctors are "best" at what. Naturally, we give the info to the parents and let them decide whether to go to their family Doctor or to the one we recommend.
My son's doctor does exactly that. He hasw worked with some of the greats like Rany J,Kevin Brown and may more. He currentls works with the 3 top NASCAR drivers (Pays Better). He does a complete workup. He checks to see how the shoulder, elbow work and the alignment of the back. He also checks his mechanics using the towel drill
Check around with some of the ball teams in your area and see if they recommend someone who works withy ball players.
