What city or area of the country are you? What area or Region does your kid want to go to? Can you schedule a pitching lesson or batting lesson? What about strength/speed coach or just giving the kid a break and going somewhere. You won't have many free spring breaks in HS and kids still need to be kids, while they can.
western PA. Travel to any location is fine but your right about the break.
Go to Phoenix for Spring Training games and the great weather!

Dang, we have 11 games over spring break in March here in Texas. Two tournaments and a weekday game.
