If anyone has firm knowledge of matchups that are taking place (in Virginia) over the Easter Break let's put them here.  This is usually a great week of games and matchups but i know many of the tournaments from years past in Central VA are no longer happening.  I need my fix - where should I be going next week to find my future Cardinals and/or Royals?

Saw Salem play yesterday they looked solid finnaly, then went over to landstown and watched glenn allen steal what seemed like 50 bases and Landstown pitcher walk what seemed like 50, left after the 4th inning, which took about an hour, Landstown looked bad defensevly and I guess they have no pitching after the top 3, looked like they threw a bunch of freshman and sophmores and glen allen threw a nice looking righty that dominated all but 1 or 2 Landstown hitters. ugly game by landstown.

Bishop England, (SC) 5, Kellam 2.  Kellam offense sputters versus a high quality opponent.  Kellam SP Ryan Galvin pitched well enough to win, but a very costly throwing error by him was followed by a triple to break open a 0-0 game in the 4th inning.  Kellam scored 1 run in the 5th to make it a 2-1 game after 5 innings.  Kellam reliver gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Kellam 6, Avon HS, (Ohio) 0.  Turner Bishop gets his first starting assignment since his Freshman year and throws 3 and 1/3 innings of shut-out baseball.  Bishop ended up with 7 K's in 10 official outs giving up a single.  Bishop also hits to 2 doubles in this game.  David Culler, RHP earns the win with 1 and 2/3 innings of relief. Sophmore LHP, Jack Coates impressive throwing the last 2 innings with 4 K's and no hits.  Kellam pitchers dominate this game giving up one hit while striking out 13.

Kellam 4, St.Ritas, (Chicago, Ill) 2.  A great pitchers dual for 5 innings with Sammy Sinnen throwing 6 innings and giving up 2 hits and one unearned run. Nick Walker and Tyler Nelin had rbi hits to give Kellam a 2-1 advantage after 6 innings.  Turner Bishop's clutch 2 run single in the top of the 7th gave Kellam a 4-1 lead that they would need to hold on and pull out the win.  St.Rita (11-1 )loads the bases off Kellam reliver in the 7th with no outs, but Kellam defense shines and earns the victory.

Kellam was rained out of their last game.
