Keep in mind that although BL spring training begins next week, that shouldn't stop your milb players from heading into spring training a bit earlier before they have to report. Catchers can catch bull pens, pitchers and fielders can shag in practice. Of course it would be on the players dime but what is better than getting your face become familiar to those that make decisions? This is especially good for those who are driving to spring training.

Good suggestion would be to contact the scout that drafted you to discuss this happening, ask your agent to make a call (he should know who to ask) on your behalf.

Keep in mind that a lot of this has to do with being up on the next guy, and getting in a few weeks earlier and having better weather to prepare is always helful.

This is something that our dear friend futurebackmom told me her player did every season and my son told me that up at the facility now are catchers catching(not enough) for big league guys who came to town early.

Understand part of getting there (to ML level) isn't just wanting to, but working harder than you have ever had to in your life to beat out the next guy (what essentially it is all about).

For those heading out for their first spring training, hoping that the off season has included LOTS of cardio. Smile

Camp begins for son today, then he will go back in a month to milb camp, he has been there for weeks for rehab camp as well (going back and forth).
I am serious aobut the cardio for everyone.
Lots of milb guys came earlier this year, due to weather, catching the big leaguers, who got there a few weeks ago, etc.

Most likely our sons will be on the same back fields in a few weeks! They play a LOT against each other! Best of luck, keep in touch!

My advice: get a stacked handle baseball bat (www.stackedhandle.com), plain and simple. It will change your hitting experience completely, giving you a ton more for every rep.

I am preparing to try out for a small group of minor league baseball teams. I got the idea of getting a SH from a friend of mine who is trained by Jeremy Sauceda, outfielder for the Fort Worth Cats. Jeremy was a utility player for the Cats. The Fort Worth Cats apparently found out that the reason Jeremy got out of his hitting slump was by working with the Stacked Handle bat. He had been hiding the bats, like a secret weapon, and then won the starting job last year.

The first week I was so sore from working out with the bat that it blew my mind. I did the same thing that I always had, but the bat causes you to use muscles that you didn't even know you had i guess.

It won't be a secret for long, BUT while less people know about it, i'd take advantage of the head start.
ok. first off. not an add. the league is called the Pecos League, and the team is in south texas. they have an open tryout. All I care about is they pay. I wasn't trying to use "minor" to mean anything specific besides not MLB. I honetly, OBVISOULY, do not know much about the difference.

The bats are no joke though, and certainly not a gimmick or an ad. If you dont start training with them, like i said, that's just more time for me and those who are in the know to train under the radar. "Lunch" McKensie, the dude who trained A-rod and Mauer in their olympic years, gives the bats a big thumbs up because they are truly beneficial. I was just trying to help you guys out. I thought that is what these things were for. No?

Obviously you are right, you don't know the difference, so why would I think that your word on a bat would make a difference?

I guess I could post quite a few links here and endorse some products that could help people, but that is considered advertising whether it's my product or not.
Dude. I am just a guy who uses a bat that has blown me away. I tell everyone. I think it is amazing. I am an engineer, so a bat that does what this one does by virtue of its design only is worth talking about in my book.

I personally think that the bats will change the way ball-struck-games are played completely. It amazes me that I tell someone that there is a bat that can really help them amplify the power delivery and technique, just because of its handle geometry and all they hear is "blah blah blah...you just told me about a product."

What is a troll anyway? I got on the forums because i'm not training legend like "lunch" McKenzie, so when i sent a thank you letter to Stacked Handle like he did, they didn't post mine right at the top. So, I came to the forums to tell other people. The bats are simply amazing Old Timer...

If you are truly an Old Timer, it doesn't surprise me that you aren't interested. This is the way of the future i'm talking about. With all due respect, adapt or get left behind. If you go watch teams, which I did today, hitters repeatedly make the same fundamental hitting errors that the bats address. How do you not want that more than you want me to not tell people about a product? In my mind, i'm telling people about how to improve their swings (i.e. - "a tip"). Maybe i'm wrong.
