High School team considering trip south next season. Looking for information on the way other schools are doing it. Where are you going? transportation? where to stay? setting up games? eating? costs?

Our High School is making our 1st trip south next Thursday. Can't wait. The weather in Pittsburgh, Pa is ****. Had 1 outdoor practice on the field. 1 scrimmage game cancelled. Thats why a lot of teams from this area are doing the southern trips.Being the treasurer for the boosters, I can tell you its going to cost our teams JV & V about $10,000.00 plus food for 28 players ,5 coaches and 4 chaparones for 5 days. Started early with fundraising .We are heading to S. Carolina ,by tour bus and staying in a hotel. 2 other teams from our area is going down the same time,but you are not allowed to play them. We are going to play the southern schools. I'll let you know when we get back if it was worth it.

Thank you for your response. I will be anxious to hear how it works out. I am still interested in knowing how you found the teams you will be playing. What made you decide to go where your going. $10,000 sounds awfully expensive but that is including your JV. What type of fundraisers did you do. Thanks and good luck.
