need some help. i am currently an assistant varisty baseball coach at a small division 3 school in ohio. we are trying to get some kids excited about the game of baseball and spring time in cold ohio. i am a graduate of a high school where we took trips down south to either tennessee or the carolinas, and we were always excited and anxious for the season to begin. we would like to have the same results at this smaller school. only problem is that i am a younger coach (22 to be exact, 3rd season of high school coaching) and the head coach is new to coaching in general(1st year at any high school level). we are looking for some contacts or anything to set up a trip down south next season (spring 2007). our school is by no means a top notch baseball school (probably 8 wins this season, with 1 sr on the team)so we are not trying to play the best, however we will if thats what it takes to put together a trip. any schools or coaches need teams? any ideas? thanks!

Hey Coach. A lot of local high school teams will post on eteamz.com and some can be found on there own websites. Do some searching and always check the ABCA site. You can even post there that you are looking for games and somebody may contact you. We have loads of teams that come to central florida in march or april for warm weather, little rain and lots of baseball. You may want to join ABCA. I think its just $30 a yr and there are lots of contacts and info. Good Luck.
hey thanks everyone for replying. sorry its taken me awhile, i have passed a lot of the information on to our head coach, and we had a meeting with our AD about it. I believe our states rule is that we cannot go any farther than 2 states away. That being said, or AD is rather skeptical about the whole trip (its never been done before, so the admistration is a hurdle to climb). We are talking about a trip shorter, maybe somewhere in kentucky?? our school is located in NW Ohio so we think we may be able to get the ok on at most a 6 hour drive. any ideas? and again, thanks everyone for the help, its truly appreciated.
Coach,
I was just wondering if you had any luck with finding a team to play in Ohio for a spring trip.
I'm a new head varsity coach and I find myself in the same situation of finding a team to play so that I can take our players on a short overnight trip somewhere. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I'm looking for games between April 5-7, 2007.
Thanks
