Springfield Statesmen Capital City Classic 18U

Hello,

The Springfield Statesmen are having the annual Capital City Classic June 25-27. This tournament is well attended by college coaches and play on 2 of the nicest fields around this area, Lanphier Park, Robin Roberts Stadium and Chamberlin Park.

The tournament has a 5 game guarantee. We still have a few openings if interested please let me know or contact Greg Finigan at 217-415-7280. Thank you

My fault, Lanphier Park is offically named Robin Roberts Stadium after Robin Roberts who is in the MLB Hall of Fame and from Springfield and went to HS 100 feet across the parking lot from the stadium. Lanphier Park was the home of the AAA Cardinals and several class A teams.

Chamberlin is home to Robert Morris University and a very nice place to play as well.

The cost is $600 for 5 games, very good deal

I will not commit any coaches however, in the past the tournament has had almost all the Valley coaches, the IL Juco's along with different ones here and there. Purdue usually makes the trip. It depends on who is playing where and what else is going on.
