I understand that Coach Brown is now the new pitching coach with Vanderbilt University. Congrats to him! Any news on who will be taking over his position at St. John's?
I haven't seen anything on the coaching change, but I have to tell you I was very, very impressed with St Johns at last years NCAA regional in Chapel Hill.
Their pitching, hitting, fielding, base-running was exceptional. They had some serious talent on that field, and they were well coached. I met a few of the parents too, great folks.
St. John's has not hired a pitching coach as a replacement for Coach Brown at this time, but it should happen in the very near future.
For reference, St. John's is widely considered the premiere college baseball program in the NYC area, and would be considered one of the best in the northeast each year. I have several friends who have gone there/are going there now and they speak extremely highly about the entire experience.
St. John’s will name Corey Muscara as pitching coach according to College Baseball Daily sources close to the situation. Muscara served as an assistant coach last season at Southern New Hampshire.
