Wow that's news. Wonder where he might end up? I would assume he would either have to set out for grades or as a result of transfer. I bet he ends up at Central Va. Comm. College to get his grades up and then can transfer. I would not think he would go to UVa like his brother did, not to rag on FSU but they are not UVa in academics. He still will have 4 years of eligibility left correct?
Correct, though it's hard to imagine he would use them all. He's already 20 years old; surely he would go pro before reaching age 24. I am not sure if he is draft eligible, but if he is he would have to consider going pro this June.

Does his having enrolled at FSU knock him out of this year's draft? He would've been an age-eligible sophomore in 2010 anyway, so I have to assume that is still an option, if not this June.

In past years, the White Sox would still have rights, but I think the new Aug. 15 deadline rule rules that out. I think if he wants to go ahead and turn pro he has to be drafted again.

I'm thinking he might find a Florida JuCo where he could step on the field immediately.
The college experience is absolutely not for everyone. I wonder what could have been done to avoid the dropout experience though. A junior college would have definitely been a completely different atmosphere for him and he could have been draft eligible each year.

He could choose to not attend school at all and become a free agent, correct?

Whatever happens I'm sure he'll find his niche and be fine.
I'm really sorry to hear about this, I've not been on the boards that much lately but this was definately not one piece of news I thought I'd be reading about. Kyle is a great ball player and a nice young man. I do wish him all the best and I'm pretty confident he'll land on his feet and he'll be very successful in the near future.
It always amazes me how some people are so quick to jump on someone when they fall. He is obviously going through some tough times. We have no idea what this young man is fighting. In times like these people need support and understanding and above all some help.

To those that relish in the demise of others be careful. What goes around comes around.
