Saw Bayside topped GR 2-1 for their 1st win, so at the break here is where the Beach stands:

Looks like NR finally woke up, 4 straight. Should be an interesting back 9.

Does anyone know anything about Menchville? Are they really as good as the #3 ranking awarded by Baseball America?

Stats on Maxpreps look pretty silly! 9 runs total given up....

Menchville is probably not as good as the #3 ranking, but they have scored 63 runs and only given up 9. Their pitching staff is pretty good with Aflac All American Ethan Carter and East Carolina bound Austin Chrismon. They also have a kid from the virgin islands his name is jharel Cotton, that throws in the upper 80's. If they can continue to play solid defense and score at least 5 runs a game, they will be hard to beat. Still a long way to go in the season.

I agree. I don't think there is anyone who looks forward to playing them right now.
