Wow. Not unexpected at all, but wow.
I feel bad for the Cal kids. They had a great freshman class this year and with a solid class of 2017 admits seem to be ready to make a run next year.
I hope Cal makes a good hire too. Maybe it will be one of the other guys whose names have been floated for the Stanford job.

Probably so. But with no dog in the hunt I'd rather see that guy stay at Pacific. There are some good kids there and on the way and it would be good to see some stability for them.
Part of the twitter feed on the Stanford job implies Kirk Sarloos could not be pried from an assistant position at TCU to the HC at Stanford. Some others also, reportedly, turned down Stanford including Bakich at Michigan.
This is pretty stunning, to me at least. I have always viewed Stanford as one of the elite coaching positions in all of college baseball, if not the elite position.
