my 17yr old kid took about a month off after fall ball. I think he needed some down time to just chill a bit. he's ready to start working out since he's not playing basketball this winter. He's 6'2", 190 and is a catcher.
We have the incredible abs from Jon. He wants to incorporate some olympic lifts or anything else that would be helpful. He has two main goals. First to increase his core strength for catching and hitting, and second, to increase his throwing velocity. Also, he had some elbow tendinitis in the fall, but I think that's pretty much gone now.
Should the lifting be done before the incredible abs? Same days? What type, and how many reps, should he be starting with?
