Yes several different college protest all day, now some have stopped a major interchange (880 and 980) in Oakland, Ca., and are being arrested on the freeway.
Pretty crazy day in these parts. Here's more Details. Luckily son's flight was very early this morning so I didn't get caught in these traffic jams driving to the airport!

I am sure "E" will run into the same type of protest in Clearwater, Fla., at spring training!
I think the time has definitely come when people of all ages need to stand up and say ENOUGH to government officials and politicians. I just read a lenghty letter today, written by the director of our local builder's exchange, protesting higher county development and building permit fees. The county's justification? "We need the money!"
Whether it is education, building depts, social services, whatever, the message needs to be heard LOUD AND CLEAR that people are fed up with the way government isn't working, and they're going to be demanded to make changes.
What happened today with the students is a good start, but they can't sit on their hands now, they need to follow up.
06catcherdad, The people need to fix the initiative system and that isn't likely to happen. We've done it to ourselves and it is time to stop blaming the politicians and take responsibility for what we've done.
