I took my son an 08 catcher to the pitcher catcher camp this weekend at UNC Chapel Hill. Another posters son was there SoutherN01. I had not seen his son pitch since the AAU Nationals this summer in Sarasota. His son is also an 08 and is 6'0 around 160. What I saw was a kid that had improved his mechanics and was very smooth in his delivery. Also his velocity had improved in my opinion a great deal. I have watched this young man develop over the last couple of years and it has been fun. The first time I saw him he was obviously talented but raw in his delivery and not that impressive velocity wise. I have seen a clear steady improvement over the last two years. Jim is a great kid and works extremely hard. He is confident but humble at the same time. He now throws considerable harder and with better mechanics than several of the kids that were ahead of him just a year ago. Nice steady quality improvement through hard work and dedication. It is always a pleasure to see these type of kids enjoy success.

Thanks Kenny. He has been given good reason to improve....watching kids like yours, and the other boys from Granville County has set a benchmark. He is looking forward to really getting on a training program. It seems to me that your guys are staying ahead of the curve with the help of dedicated folks like you working with them. Q.
