I was watching some HS games and it took about 3.9-4 seconds from the pitcher to start moving in their delivery to the ball getting to second by the catcher.
Ofcourse the jump will make a difference as well as that catcher is not going to always be perfect with his throws.
I'm just kind of wondering the time it takes a fast runner to steal 2nd.
Based on what I read on the baseballfit.com link via this BB, "you need to be at or below 3.2 seconds. (Major league level). Yes, Homerun24 the same site show Rickey at 3.0 - 3.1 sec. That's fast!
