My son will be playing for York, and Stevenson is also in their conference. We watched Stevenson play last year and they were very competitive with York, which is one of the higher level DIIIs. York has made the NCAA tourney 3 of the last 4 years, and they are pretty hard-core with the practice, etc. Their fall season starts on Labor Day, and practices on Saturdays and Sundays are full days. The spring trip is to Atlanta, where they play other NCAA South region teams. You can PM me if you have any other questions!
RHP 22...I can speak about York and Stevenson, but I don't know much about Wilmington. Also, I'll disclose I am the Head Coach at Stevenson. York is a very strong program, and Paul is a great guy and coach. You will work your tail off there for sure. Their field is the 2nd best surface we play on every year. Paul is very well respected and his teams play hard.

Stevenson has been very competitive in the same conference. If you are comparing the two, check the websites for scores etc. Our facility is off campus, but it is a full turf facility at The Ripken Complex which we do ZERO work on. It is the best surface we play on during the season. I would highly recommend a visit to each campus, talk to the coach's tour the campus and compare for yourself. I think you will be hard pressed to find anyone to say anything negative about either York or Stevenson. (obviously I can go on, but I'll save that for a visit)

Baseballguy, i appreciate the kind words, we have been building our program the right way for a while and I'm glad someone notices that. We aren't TOO far away from having our own facility as Stevenson is growing dramatically, building dorms, classrooms and facilities at a tremendous pace. It's exciting and I have the plans drawn up already. Just a waiting game with the state :-)

Rocketmom I wish your son well (just not against us), we are playing York the first saturday in October this fall so we'll cross paths shortly.
York is a great place. My sons's school played them every year and we were always impressed by the top notch facilities, very supportive fans, and the level of play by the teams. The players appear to genuinely love being there. I had some long conversations with parents of York players and they all were thrilled with their sons' experiences. The "atmosphere" just seemed to be perfect for baseball-beautiful campus, great facilities, supportive fans, excellent players.

We played Stevenson as well and the teams are certainly very well-coached, but we always played them at our place so I never saw their field. If they play at the Ripken complex, and they do, that's a dream facility.
