Waiting can be a big mistake. Lots of colleges still looking. Maybe less money available but they are still looking.

You bet they are! Look forward, not behind. Contact the schools you have interest in and those that showed interest in you previously. Many things can and will change over the next 6 months.

The right money is always available for the right player, nearly up until school starts. Money follows talent and always will.

I think the new minimums may have an impact next season.

The waiting I am talking about is more about stalling by a school you want to go to. I don't think anyone should sign with a school you are not sure of just to get it out of the way.

You said you made a mistake waiting for a certain football scholarship. don't make the mistake by just looking at "DI - national program" schools. A lot of the big programs have already signed a bunch of kids. You might want to look at some smaller DIs as well - maybe even JUCO or DII. Don't make the same mistake twice.
